Home Exterior Washing
Part of living in the beautiful Southern Blue Ridge Mountains is the mildew and algae that seems to grow on everything. High Shine offers house, driveway and deck washing to kill and remove the microbial growths and bring your property back to its original luster and beauty.
Q. How much pressure do you use?
A. That depends upon the surface, condition and soaps we will use. Our system can clean up to 4000 psi, yet we generally don’t use this much pressure on the surfaces we clean. The key to a good clean is in the soaps we apply, not in the amount of pressure we use.
Q. Will pressure washing kill my flowers and shrubs?
A. We are careful to avoid landscaping and we pre and post rinse as an extra precaution.
Q. Do I need to be home when the house is cleaned?
A. No, but we do request that the windows and doors are securely closed and any small hanging decorative valuables be removed prior to our arrival.
Q. Do you paint houses?
A. Yes, we do!
Q. Is there a difference in regular power washing and prepping for painting?
A. Yes, we are often asked to power wash a house that is in need of painting. If we clean it effectively, loose paint/stain is removed. If they are not wanting to paint/stain soon, then we try and wash as lightly as possible to not remove loose paint/stain. Usually some will come loose anyways. However, if told to prep the house for painting, then we will try and prepare the substrate by removing anything that is loose before paint/stain is applied.
